Henseleit TDF build
« on: October 10, 2017, 07:21:22 PM »
I couldn't help myself with this one! Flying the TDR and enjoying it so much I couldn't help but think this new TDF has to damn good. A new design with better features like the LDS, Adjustable head dampening and a belt tail, it's like an upgraded TDR.......

So the setup will be

Pyro 700-45
Jive Pro 120 with Telme
MKS9767
MKS9780
NEO Pro/Rescue
2s 450 Buffer pack
VTX 717
12s 4400
HS 1400 1600 1800to start with!

While waiting for the servos to get here I skipped some steps and got only the battery trays, motor mount and the tail...

Hi Steve,

How does the airframe take full size servos, are there different mounts or holes for the larger servos? I can't see from the pictures.

Yes there is a second set of slotted holes. I'm using the slots for the STD size servos as per the manual as the MKS Mini servo shaft is close to the edge of the case.

Got some flights on the TDF and just about dialed in...

P12.5 HS1250 flight time 9 minutes of easy going lazy tic tocs, rainbows, flips and rolls.. with some sport flying.

P12.5 HS1850 flight time 5 minutes of hard fast tic tocs and hard sport flying etc

Amazing heli to fly, very locked and direct. It's a very big improvement on the TDR for me and my style anyway

Lovely machine.  I'm thinking about giving up the dream of developing the skill to fly such an airframe.  Too old to learn new tricks.

Do the linear rack and pinion drives require shimming to eliminate backlash?
