mini quad for a kid
« on: October 08, 2015, 07:17:34 AM »
A friend has asked me about getting a mini quad for his 6 year old kid (no RC experience)
Just wants a toy one ready to fly, to try get his son off computers and doing something.

I have had a look around on Banggood ect has anyone had any experience with these things.

This is what is required.
Budget $200.
RTF complete with TX.
Easy to fly self leveling.
Durable
Spare parts available.

Thanks

Ya, I have both nano qx and inductrix.  I kinda like the inductrix a little better.  The RTF one is easy to pack around on holidays.  Although it is not mentioned in the manual it can be switched into manual mode like the nano qx (push down on throttle stick).  It becomes very challenging then, lol!  RTF mode 2 version;

Hey mate I have the nano qx and its great for indoors but outside if there is a breeze it can struggle since it is so light. But very resilient to crashes. My mates use it when they have had a few drinks in the shed and smash it into the walls and it holds up fine.

Thanks guys I sent him the links and about 10 mins later I got a message saying that he had watched the vids and now wants one for himself as well. My reply was so do I and they will work on my TX.

I'd expect they are from Horizon and should work on the Spektrum, Steve.

Yeah they all seem to come as RTF and BNF. I downloaded the manuals and when the say bind and fly that's just about all you have to do.
