Cause its made by an aussie ! we all like to talk about supporting local.

Ok I was not aware of that. For me that is a big enough point of difference... But I can't find that information stated anywhere on their website. Look at Synergy; they hit home hard that their products are 'Matt Botos Design'.

It's not made by a Aussie it's designed by Nigel and made in Asia
The good thing with tsa that every thing is made in there factory apart from berrings
Not having a dig at ya Chris
I think we should support Nigel some how,but gee it's going to be hard

Yeah unfortunately not made in Australia, all profits go back into Asia I am afraid.  It is not nigels company he just works there.

I am super keen to see them though.  I mean those that know how nigel flies and what he expects, I doubt they will be timid or tame by any stretch.  Sure the design is not jaw dropping or extremely unique (when compared to SAB's offerings) however I reckon it will be a tough heli, pricing will be the key I suppose!

Good Luck Nigel look forward to seeing them out and about.

All good to see another machine get off the ground.
..it would be nice if it had metal bearing blocks at least, plastic ones do flog out.

Maybe its an "upgrade path" they will offer like Align, we'll see in time i guess.

I hope that price point and durabillity will be a feature of this heli? With most fbl helis these days, the mechanical advantagers for flying become a lot less important! Electronic stabilisation, has cured most flying points of diffrence theses days!
The need for solid, ruggered and super reliable airframes, is what is needed! Under current economic sentiment, buying a very solid machine, and surpeb backup surport will be the key!
For Nigels sake, I hope he can do that with this model!

Looks a bit like a Trex - agree with Michael that high head is against current trends - hope the best for Nigel as he's a top bloke but would have been better before Goblin, 7HV, upcoming Logo 700, TDR, Diabolo, E7, E720, AuroraE, T700E's, RaveE came out !

I agree...i never seen one of these until today in the pics... i saw one with teh canopy off and actually thought it was trex... but not quite at second glance... anyway its home grown for us here so i guess it will still draw interest... but with the likes of goblin kasama and banshee out there... its a bit hard to compete.... either way that's just marketing for ya...
Mikado 800XX, Mincopter Diabolo, Henseleit TDR ..current favs....all others collecting dust presently......

Sometimes it's not just any one thing that makes it stand out, but a combination of a few 'likes' in a model that makes it come together.

Looking at the manual for the electric version, a few things I like:
1. Receiver battery is provided or assumed - big plus for me
2. Big fat lipos are centralised under the main shaft - with FBL controllers it's probably moot but it's likely the servos don't get stressed as much to achieve the same agility, and likely you can achieve more insane agility at max servo loads as compared to others with lipo packs spread out front and under
3. The two rear cyclic servos look really well supported - this added stiffness seems to take away that little 'give' that might save your servos in a crash?
4. If you run a bec, you can probably mount a GoPro where the reciever batt would sit and still CG correctly
5. Sensor mount is not over the tail boom clamps

That said, it doesn't do anything for me. (TBH I haven't had that feeling of "wow have to own that" for a long long time)

Fair call Jarrod :)

I saw Dave M's at whiteman park last weekend, and it although it wasnt ready to fly, it did look very nicely manufactured.

Fit and finish is more JR than Align.

Carbon looks to be more rigid and of better quality than Align.

Swash driver had zero slop, most every heli has some, so well see how it wears i guess.

Tail gears are very sold looking, will survive moderate taps i would think.

Canopy is more canomod or funso than Any Align canopy, very light too.

Daves was in the 900 mark with the rebranded for TSA beastx, so most prolly very competitively priced for a step up in quality from Align.

Some build pics. Got too carried away to keep taking photo's all the way through.

Excellent quality parts and fitment.
Nige wanted to design a heli to be an every day beater. A heli that can take a lot of hard flying over long period of time, cheap parts and still having superior quality.
