I ordered a 12A ESC for my D02, the 7A is cutting out 2 mins into flight.

Wondered why i could only fly 2.5 mins max.

My 2801 pro has been great, had a few of them never had an issue

Binding issue
« Reply #16 on: March 12, 2011, 03:42:04 PM »
Well I have maidened my V120D02 and it's a super little Heli.
However today when I turned on the transmitter and plugged in the lipo the transmitter didn't enter Link (bind) mode. I turned everything off and retried. No different.
I pulled the batts out of the transmitter and tried again no joy.
In the end I had to select a new model slot and that worked but why is the original model slot not binding?
Any thoughts. Read all instruction booklets but none the wiser.

Heres my walkera 36b flying in fairly windy conditions. Always use the fma on it to tame her down for relaxing afternoon flying . Had it for about 5 years still flys well :)

Hi,
Wondering if there are any 4f200lm owners out there that could give me some info on this bird.
As stated in another post I can only afford one heli so I want one that will fly in stadiums and outdoors. I am looking at 200-250 size and I really like the look of this heli amongst others.

Regards
Mick

Hi All,

I'm am getting back into heli's after a 10 year break!  Lots have changed in that time.  I chose the Walkera V100D08 with the Devo 8 transmitter as an entry level 6 channel (I also have a couple of 4ch co-ax's) and I absolutely love it.

I originally set it up as per the manual, but quickly found that the change between normal flight mode and stunt 1&2 was too different and caused a large drop in height.  I have now re-set the throttle and pitch curves and all is flying well.

The Devo 8 transmitter is really intuitive to program with graphic representation of all curves including exponentials.

Yesterday I had several successful outdoor flights and I am amazed at how stable this little heli is!

Question:
Is it better to adjust the linkages to get centered trims or is it OK to fly with trims all the time?

Not familiar with that Heli but as a general principle, always better to get mechanical centre if possible. Use radio trims a little as possible.

Hi Chestcutter,
I setup the linkages as close as possible to perfect but still had to use a bit of sub trim to get back to zero trims.  The difference is amazing.  I think that the trims were sending a command to the FBL module that was making it less stable.
Thanks for your advice.

Hi Peter,
If you did mention it, it must have gone in one ear and out the other, but I have the info now.  If you thought it flew well last time, it is even more stable and controllable now!  I have sorted out the 3-axis settings as well as the idle up so there is no change in pitch curve or trim and I have even got the dual rates changing at the same time.

Dammit guys,  I am well and truly hooked now and need to start selling non-essential items to support my habit!

See you sometime over the weekend.

I enjoy the genius and mini cp, outside in a closed area its really helping all inverted feeling natural and backwards flight. The 120d02s i liked but i felt the fbl firmware had a loose feeling to it compared to the smaller walkeras. Also i kept wrecking servos and gears pretty quick from crashing lol

I think some of it is just from reputation but a few of us have owned them (yes I've had one) and while the quality has improved over time they were still below the other major brands out there last time I looked.

And they dont really seem to make much of anything any more

Probably the worst thing is where to get parts. There oneday and model obsolete the next
