Servo play
« on: August 03, 2017, 10:38:14 PM »

HI all,

My expensive Futaba servos have a significant play on my Logo 700 as well on the Logo 550SX. I am more the person who pays a bit more and get something long lasting …. Don’t need to mention I am annoyed.

Not sure it is normal that servo has some play after 150 flights and after one or the other crash?  :dontknow:

Cheers,
M

Futaba's have a pretty good record of the gears remaining tight for a long number of flights compared to other brands. Some of the JR servos used in helis were well know for wearing fast. I haven't struck it with them myself but only run a couple of sets of Futaba cyclic servos (272's and 273's) and only over the last year or two so they are not really in the high number of flights yet. Which model number servos are you having problems with? I know of poeple with 451's that have done many hundreds of flights and are still relatively slop free.

Yea, I bought a ne set of 273 cyclic and had slop. Then some 272 and have servo slop. Their tail servos are excellent but cyclic? Not much chop for the $$.
