This isn't mine! Thought I would just share it here.... something to be careful of. It was suggested that the shaft clamp wasn't done up tight enough but the bloke said it was!

you can see that it peeled out under load ,  not only that , you can also see that the pin has lifted out of its seat 1st before letting go

only possible  way i can see that happening is that the main collar has slipped .

        A little tip,

before  i clamp mine down  i clean both surfaces with brake clean to remove any grease or oil , then crank it.

Finally fitted up some magnetic canopy mounts!! No mods, they fit straight on and the canopy closes perfectly....

Nuiiiccceeee...  (y)  Still havn't fitted mine Steve.  Does it look like there's no thread in the mount post, and you need to wind them onto the M3 threaded rod and cut a new thread as you go..????  Is that how yours was..???

All you do is thread the rod onto one, cutting your own thread as you go. Slide it through the frame and thread the other side on till its all firm.... very easy!

What ones did you get? i used the MSH71199

I'll check...  I took them with me out to Daka on Sunday, planning to fit them up and try them out, and I think I used red locktite on one side of the stock mounts, so couldn't get the rod off...  Will heat it up and put them on one night...
